Guidelines in Taking the Physical Fitness Test (Pre- Test)


-You will perform the Physical Fitness Test

-This is to test your strengths and weaknesses with regards to your fitness level.

-Please be reminded that this is NOT a competition nor a basis of getting a higher grade if you achieve or reach a higher score. 

-It is not graded but it will be recorded as to keep track your performance.

-This is to assess the needed activities to be done for the next lesson. 


  ‼️‼️ IMPORTANT :

-Before starting this test, consult your physician if you have any risk.

- Those who have MEDICAL CONDITIONS, you are NOT ALLOWED to do this test. ( Please inform me so I could give you another type of task. 

- Take a VIDEO  while taking the Fitness Test


Material needed:

Tape Measure or meter stick
Stopwatch
PE attire
mats (optional)
PPFPT Record

Before taking the Test:

1. Fill out the form Physical Fitness Chart 

2. Make sure that you have enough energy by eating the right amount of food 1 hr prior taking the test

3. Wear comfortable attire preferable P.E uniform or sport attire.

4. Girls must fix her hair.

5. Be sure you are in the state of relax as you Take a Pulse at Rest then record it Pre- Test Physical Fitness Test (PPFT )Record.

6. Have a Stretching Exercises , a video clip is your guide


7. After stretching, you can start now taking the Physical Fitness Test


During Taking the Test


8. After taking the 3 mins steps test, take your pulse (carotid), in 1 minute , count the number of beats then record. ______ bpm

9. Proceed with curls up, push up then lastly sit & reach 

10. Record your scores then record it in your PPFPT Record

11. Take a pulse again for Pulse at Work then record it in your PPFPT Record


After Taking the Test


13. Take Cool Down Exercises

14. Take a Pulse, count the number of beats in 1 minute, record it at Recovery Pulse in PPFPT Record


What to submit:

a. Video Clip


In your video, have this format. (Upload it in youtube )


a. State your name and section

b. Video while Taking Test

c. Record yourself upon answering these questions:

     1. How was your experience upon doing the activity?

     2. What will you do next to make your performance better?

     3. How  important of knowing one's Physical Fitness Level"


b. Pre- Test Physical Fitness Test (PPFT )Record 



Once you are done, Submit your Pre Test Physical Fitness Record  in the LMS together with the url link of your Video.

How to Compute BMI

BMI means Body Mass Index . It measures the thinness and fatness of the body. This is an indicator whether we are underweight, normal, overweight , or obese.  Too much fat in our body could lead to high risk of having diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, stress , cancer and arthritis. It is important to know our BMI so that we will know whether we are at risk or needs to improve to achieve fitness.  Here is how to compute the BMI. BMI = Body Mass Index  Formula:  BMI =       Wkg              ------------                   Hm2 For example:        =        50/ 1.50m2        =      50/ 2.25 BMI   =         22.22        Classification = Normal Compute the BMI  Weight is  55 kgs while the height is 1. 44m.   BMI = 26.52 Classification  = Overweight If the weight is 67 kgs while the height is 1.72m.
