Performance Task: Choose only 1 activity

A. Sing the song " Hymn to Shiva"


C. Traditional drawing of art forms of South Asia.



Procedure: 


A. Sing the song " Hymn to Shiva" 


Memorize the lyrics, sing the song with correct tonality and expression. Take a video while singing the song.

B. Clapping the chosen Tala with created combination of Swara in RAGA. Take a video while clapping the tala while singing the notes (SARGAM).

   


C. Traditional drawing of art forms of South Asia.


  1. Select any Art forms in India such as Madhubani art (Godna style, Kachnni style, Bharni Style, Kohbar style) Mehndi, Rangoli, Attire and Architecture as the subject of your drawing / painting.
  2. Use short size paper with [margin/borders- 1inch by 1inch]
  3. Draw / paint  the selected art form 
  4. Use any available coloring materials like crayons, oil pastels, coloring pen/pencils.
  5. It has to incorporate designs, forms, patterns and motif of Indian culture.
  6. Have a documentation [video-time lapse 1-2mins or 5pictures in the making)                                                                                               

   

Note: Write a title of your drawing/painting/ illustration and give at least 2 -3 sentences about it.

How to Compute BMI

BMI means Body Mass Index . It measures the thinness and fatness of the body. This is an indicator whether we are underweight, normal, overweight , or obese.  Too much fat in our body could lead to high risk of having diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, stress , cancer and arthritis. It is important to know our BMI so that we will know whether we are at risk or needs to improve to achieve fitness.  Here is how to compute the BMI.
