SK National Congress was held last October 28-30 at the Waterfront Hotel in Cebu City. Our group, Lumad Basakanon was one of the performers of the said event. I am one of the dancers of the said group.
Before it was started, I did not know what was the occasion for we just normally invited to perform. Upon reaching the venue, I noticed they were hundreds of young people gathered in the place. They wear the same shirt. That was then I realized that it was an SK Congress. I suddenly felt envious to them for at their age, they able to meet the President, Gloria Macapagal Arroyo and other senators and learn something from them.
As we performed, I noticed some of the political person, especially Noynoy Aquino III. We were delighted every time we heard an applause and big smile coming from the senators. Our exit performance was to move down the stairs while I was standing on my co- dancer's shoulder. As we move along the aisle, I jumped off from the shoulder where I stand. I fell on a carpeted floor. Good thing, it is a carpet, if it is not, ouch! my knees.. You know what I mean?
